Actually, that title is misleading. It WILL get loud. Twenty-One is home from college for Spring Break with his computer in tow. It's a desktop model that he built himself--and accessorized with a set of speakers that features a dedicated subwoofer.
When he plugged that all in and turned on a game, a low rumbling sound startled me into wondering how many boulders were rattling around in my clothes dryer.
Then I realized that I hadn't started the laundry yet.
"Isn't this cool?" he bragged. "And I've only got them turned up to 15% volume."
Things in the house actually start shaking when those speakers begin to rumble. I imagine that the USGS is wondering why its seismograph goes crazy.
