Today, Graco and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall on select Graco Quattro Tour and Metrolite Strollers. Select strollers manufactured prior to 2008 have been responsible for four strangulation infant deaths and at least five entrapments resulting in injury.
This recall includes almost 2 million Graco strollers under the model names Quattro Tour and Metrolite. Injury or possible death can occur in infants particularly under the age of 12 months when they are not strapped in and slide between the front tray and bottom of the stroller seat. Infants' heads can become trapped by the tray as they slide down.
This recall includes Quattro Tour strollers and travel systems manufactured before November 2006 and Metrolite strollers and travel systems manufactured before July 2007.
You can check to see if your stroller's model number is included in the recall. The model number is found on the rear part of the frame above the rear wheels.
If you have one these recalled strollers, stop using immediately and contact Graco for a repair kit.
